Who works with a coach?
The short answer is anyone.
Today most executive coaching is about developing high performers whereas 10 years ago it was about addressing toxic behaviour in the top tiers.
Coaching is proven to work when two factors are present
-
The client is willing to grow
-
There is a gap between where they are now and where they want to be.
That is all that is necessary for you and your coach to define your purpose, create a new life, turn a business around, double sales and profitability, remove barriers, solve problems, design and implement a plan of action, or create whatever else is called for to ensure that you have what you need to get more of what you want.
What is worked on?
Here are some ideas for what you and your coach can work on together:
-
Business planning, budgeting and goal setting
-
integrating business and personal life for balance
-
Turning around a difficult situation
-
Achieving maximum work performance
-
Handling business or personal problems
-
Making key decisions and designing strategies
-
Prioritising actions and projects
-
Catching up and getting ahead of the business
-
Increasing sales substantially or filling a practice
Here are some optional self-assessments to help give you focus
How does a coach do this?
Coaching is delivered during regular sessions weekly, fortnightly or monthly by telephone or in person whichever is more convenient. Clients bring an agenda of items to the call or meeting. The coach helps them work through problems and make the most of opportunities.
When you are taking on a large goal, we help you design the project and provide the support and structure needed to make sure it gets done. We bring out your best by offering advice, expecting a lot, helping you strategise and celebrating your wins.
Clients can range from small business owners to CEOs; and coaching can focus on either business goals or personal goals.
What should I look for in a coach?
The right coach brings out your best, consistently.
To do this, the coach you select should pass the following three tests:
-
Does this coach have a track record of helping someone like me accomplish the goals I want?
-
Do I feel good and motivated to act when with this coach?
-
Is there a clear agreement in place that your coaching conversations are completely confidential?
